Lawrence Police Looking Into Possible Connection Between Injured Man and Business Vandalisms

Lawrence Police Department is currently investigating a connection between a wounded man and two nearby businesses with broken windows. The incidents occurred around 4:45 a.m. in the area of E 9th Street and Massachusetts. A man reported being stabbed while sleeping in an alley, prompting a police response. The injured man was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

Later in the day, Lawrence police clarified that they could not confirm the stabbing. In addition to the injured man, two businesses in the vicinity were found to have broken windows. The police are working to determine if these incidents are related.

The community is encouraged to come forward with any information they may have regarding these incidents. LPD is actively pursuing leads to identify a suspect and will release more information as the investigation progresses.
